The ERNEMANN® RPS III is a film platter system with 3 independently controlled decks. Each deck being controlled by a separate microcontroller.

The ADI (Automatic Disc Identification) identifies automatically the rewinding deck through the pay-out head. The pay-out head itself has no electric connection to the deck, the scanning is done via sensors without any plug-in connection. Therefore the pay-out head is essentially maintenance-free and the scanning occurs with very low stress to the film. A linear sensor controls the winding speed and makes the disturbing lever arms on each deck superfluous.

Film tension failsafe, breakproof take up rings, integrated polyester film tension switch that allows for smooth film stop and illumination of the lower decks are further features of the high-level standard equipment of these platters.

The RPS III is suitable for all projectors and can be placed on either the right or left side of the projector.

In addition, this model is also available as RPS V with 5 platter decks.
